Cummins thanks supporters and vows to return to racing

Conor Cummins has thanked the mashals and medics who helped him after his crash at the Verandah during the Senior TT race on Friday.

Cummins remains is Noble's Hospital, and is being treated for a back injury, a fractured arm, dislocated knee and bruised lungs.

He also sends his thanks to everyone who has sent him messages of support, including children who have been sending him toys.

The McAdoo Kawasaki rider won't compete again this season but has vowed to work hard over the winter and be fully competitive for the start of the next season.

Guy Martin, who also crashed in a seperate incident in the Senior race, is likely to be discharged from hospital today or tomorrow.

He has been treated for fractures to his back and ribs and bruising to the lungs.
