Prescription prices set for up to 20% increase

Prescription charges on the Island are set to rise from September.

Each item is set to cost £3.85, 60p more than at present.

A four month pre-payment certificate will rise from £16.25 to £19, that's almost a 17% increase.

An increase of more than t20% is planned for 12 month pre-payment certificates, which would cost £54.

The price hikes are subject to approval at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
