Cav's first ever coach congratulates the Manx Missile

Fri, 17 Sep 2010

Cycling fans on the island are celebrating today after the Manx missile claimed another win.

Mark Cavendish snatched victory in a thrilling sprint in the 12th stage of the Tour of Spain yesterday. The ride follows success at the Tour de France and the Giro d'Italia, an achievement that hasn't been beaten since the 80's.

It makes him only the second Brit in history to take stage wins in all three of cycling's Grand Tours.

Mike Kelly from Team Manx Telecom Road Club was Cav's first ever coach, and he has told Energy Fm that from an early age his spirit was strong
