Island to appoint UK business development manager

The government have announced that its to enhance the Isle of Man's presence in London.

The Island already has an office in central London and has announced it will be appointing a head of UK business development to generate new business for the Island and increase awareness of the island in general.

Tim Craine is the business Director for the dept of economic development and he's been telling us what the new role will consist of.

Meanwhile

Rushen MHK Quinton Gill has told Energy FM news that the Government should form stronger ties with the UK Government before it tries to enhance the Islands reputation in the business sector.

Mr Gill believes that stronger political ties would be more beneficial to the Islands development.
