Painting the town PINK!!!

Thu, 28 Oct 2010

The Department of Infrastructure is marking ‘Wear it Pink Day’ by turning one of the Isle of Man’s most well-known landmarks pink!

From midnight tonight the lights illuminating the Tower of Refuge will be turned pink to highlight ‘Wear it Pink Day’.

The Department’s staff will be making a donation to the ‘Breast Cancer Campaign  from monies raised from cake sales and for wearing something pink to work.

Erica Gordon from the dept told us why the cause is important to them.

To mark the day the Energy FM breakfast team will be wearing something pink to work tomorrow.

But as we are mens men, we don't actually own anything in the girlie colour. so we're asking our listeners to lend us a piece of pink clothing!!

The best items will be worn by Wayne and Matt during the breakfast show tomorrow to help raise awareness for Cancer research.

So, please drop your items off at our Market Street office with your name and phone number and we'll pick the best ones!!!
