2 road closures for Emergency works

A temporary road closure is in place in Maughold after a water main burst earlier today.

Jacks lane is expected to be closed until around 15:30 whilst a team of engineers work to repair the damaged pipe.

Motorists are also being advised that delays are likely in the Circular Rd and Bucks Rd area of Douglas due to a gas escape.

An Engineering team are currently on site trying to isolate the escape that occurred earlier today.

Andy Bainton from Manx Gas has warned that disruptions are likely for the rest of the day and possibly tomorrow.

Buses are currently being rerouted to avoid the works.
