School field row continues

The row over the playing fields at Michael School is set to continue this evening.

MHK for Michael - David Cannan - has called a public meeting, and invited developers Dandara to present its plans for the site.

Dandara wants to swap the field at Douglas Road Corner for another nearby.

The Department of Education and Children has indicated it would be happy with the swap.

Michael Commissioners have also spoken in favour of the plans.

The meeting will be held at 7.30 this evening at St Michael Hall
