Cooil Road plans dismissed

A report has ruled that land south of Cooil Road should not be developed into a business park.

The Government had been looking to release 47 acres of land for light industry and a business park.

A public inquiry was set up after the plans met with opposition.

Evidence was heard in November last year, and the findings have now been published, recommending that the land is not developed.

The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed it will follow the conclusion of the inquiry.
