Water authority seeks almost £40m for works

Thu, 31 Mar 2011

The Chairman of the Water and Sewerage Authority is to ask for nearly £40million to extend the Regional Sewage Treatment Programme.

Tim Crookall will seek Tynwald approval to spend £39,984,000 on building sewage treatment plants in the west and north of the Island.

There are also plans for treatment works at Jurby, Kirk Michael and Ramsey, as well as a sludge treatment facility at Meary Veg.

The motion goes before the April sitting of Tynwald
