Pilot commits suicide following Manx2 plane crash

Mon, 02 May 2011

A pilot has committed suicide after blaming himself for the fatal Manx2 chartered plane crash at Cork Airport.

29 year old Oliver Lee from Yorkshire quit his job with the airline just days before the tragedy in February.

Mr Lee had regularly flown the same plane on the route between Belfast and Cork.

He told his family he was racked with guilt as he believed the crash wouldn't have happened if he had been flying the plane as he was familiar with the foggy conditions at Cork.
