Facebook campaign launched to save school field

Over 500 people are supporting a Facebook campaign to save QE2's playing fields.

 

The "Save QE2 Playing Fields" page wants to see the school field spared from a housing development by Heritage Homes.

 

A distributor road for over 100 new houses would run through the school's grounds if planning permission is granted.

 

A planning enquiry on the application is due to be held next week.

 

The Facebook page says putting a road through the field would put a stop to a number of sporting activities that currently take place there, including rugby, football and athletics.
