The latest figures from the Isle of Man Airport show a significant recovery during April this year.

Passengers at Ronaldsway increased by 25.5% compared with last year, largely due to the volcanic ash cloud affecting flights this time last year.

The increase means there was a 4.4% growth in passengers over the first quarter of 2011.

The Liverpool, Belfast City and Glasgow routes all saw big rises in traffic.

Meanwhile Manx2's Newcastle route and the Flybe operated Geneva flights saw significant falls.
