First race underway for TT2011

The first race of this year's TT is underway.

The superbike race will see riders taking their machines on six laps of the TT course.

Bruce Anstey was quickest during practice, but John McGuinness, Guy Martin and Michael Dunlop also set fast times.

At 3.00pm the first of the Sidecar races is scheduled to start.

Last year's winning duo Klaus Klaffenbock and Dan Sayle topped the timesheets in practice.
