Sulby crash victim was former TT sidecar passenger

Police have named a biker who was killed in a crash at Sulby on Thursday.

75 year old Anthony James Cook from Sulby died when his motorbike and sidecar crashed on the Claddaghs Road.

He's previously finished 4th in the TT sidecar race as a passenger in 1960.

Mr Cook was a retired motor engineer who moved to the Island 22 years ago.

His family says he was a safe rider who spent his free time training new riders to ride safely.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Police Headquarters.
