PC due in court over Manx student death

A police officer will appear in court charged over the death of a Manx student today.

PC Rodney Craig Mills is accused of causing the death of 19 year old Jamie Haslett by careless driving.

Mr Haslett died in Sheffield in October last year after being hit by a police car.

He was studying a degree at Sheffield Hallam University.

PC Mills was charged earlier this month, following an investigation into the incident by the Independant Police Complaints Commission
