A yacht which had been feared missing in the Irish Sea has been found by Port Erin lifeboat crews.

A major sea search was launched earlier off the south of the Island.

One man was onboard.

The boat left the Isle of Man last night and was on its way to Ardglass in Northern Ireland.

A family member reported the yacht missing after no contact had been heard for several hours.

Coastguard teams from the Isle of Man searched the Island's harbours for the boat,

Port Erin and Port St Mary lifeboat crews took part in the search.

A spokesman for the Isle of Man Coastguard told Energy FM News the vessel was around six miles off the Manx coast this evening when she was spotted sailing by the crew of the Port Erin lifeboat.
