The Island's Forestry Division has invested in its first electric vehicle.

The Polaris Ranger EV will be used by Forestry in the Tynwald National Park and on hill land and forest estate.

The vehicle has a range of 50 miles, and travels at a top speed of 25mph.

The Department of Environment says the vehicle will have less of a physical impact on the land, and a smaller carbon footprint.
