A level success down to hard work says Education chief

This year's A level success is down to the hard work and effort put in by students, according to education officials.

Results out yesterday revealed the second highest pass rate ever, at 97.8%.

There was also an increase in the number of top grades being received.

Director of Education Martin Barrow believes it's a kick in the teeth for students when people say exams have become easier [play clip]
