The former MHK for Michael is angry permission has been granted for a land swap at the local primary school.

Dandara needs a section of the school grounds at Douglas Road Corner to give access to a new housing estate.

The Department of Education has agreed to let the developer have the land in exchange for a slightly larger plot to the rear of school.

Minister Eddie Teare believes it will benefit the school, but many local residents have been opposed to the move for a number years.
