Roads due to close for MGP practice

Wed, 24 Aug 2011

The third qualifying session for this year's Manx Grand Prix gets underway later this evening.

The Snaefell Mountain Road is due to close at 6pm, with practice getting underway 20 minutes later.

The session is due to finish at 8.10.

Last night's session was red flagged after Onchan's Brian Purdy had a crash at School House Corner in Ramsey.

When the course was clear for practice to continue, the light had begun to fade.

The Senior, Junior, Supertwin and Newcomer A classes will be out first, with the remaining classes going at 7.10.
