2 seriously injured in Mountain Road crash

Police are looking for witnesses following a serious crash on the Mountain Road early this morning.

The dark green Ford Scorpio crashed on the TT course at the junction with the Creg ny Baa Back Road at around 12.55 this morning.

A male and female who were in the car are being treated in Noble's for serious injuries.

Officers don't know the circumstances leading up to the crash.

The vehicle was travelling from Douglas towards the Creg ny Baa prior to the collision.

The road was closed for around four hours whilst police carried out investigations.

Drivers are urged to proceed with caution, as part of the wall in the area remains in the road. The Department of Infrastructure will clear this later this morning

Anyone with information which may be linked to the crash is asked to contact Police Headquarters.
