Recycling bins set on fire in Peel

Tue, 06 Sep 2011

Police are investigating after recycling bins in Peel were set alight.

The blaze was discovered in the early hours of yesterday morning.

One bin was completely destroyed and three others damaged.

A car parked nearby has also been damaged by the flames.

Officers say the bins were initially set on fire at around 7.00pm on Sunday, but that a passer by had put the blaze out.

It's believed the person responsible then returned after 10.00pm to re-start the fire.

The damage caused will be costly to repair.

Anyone with information on this fire is asked to contact Peel Police Station
