Two athletes have vanished after competing in the Commonwealth Youth Games.

The 16 year old girls from Cameroon left the Isle of Man earlier this week but disappeared at Manchester Airport before their flight left on Wednesday morning.

Balana Marie Michel and Foumena Marie Gaelle are reported not to have passports and were only carrying a small amount of cash.

Police say they're worried about their welfare.

The girls only speak French and have no family or friends in the UK.

The teenagers came to the Island to compete in the 100 and 200 metre sprints and both finished 5th in their heats.
