Roads reopen in Castletown

A man's in hospital with serious head injuries after an assault in Castletown.

The 42 year old victim was taken to Noble's after a fight with another man at around 6.15pm yesterday.

Forensic examinations led to road closures at Malew Street and the surrounding roads, but they have now reopened.

A 35 year old local man is in police custody.

Police say they're not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

They are still keen to hear from any witnesses who haven't already come forward, including a man in his forties or fifties who is known to have been at the scene.
