Council asks for Christmas trees to be recycled

Tue, 03 Jan 2012

Douglas Council is asking those with real Christmas trees to recycle them.

The local authority can use the trees to make chippings for use in the town's parks.

Those looking to get rid of their trees will be able to dispose of them at a number of drop-off points for free this coming weekend.

The trees can be left at Lord Street Car Park, Pulrose, Anagh Coar Car Park, Central Promenade, Stevenson's Way, the Grandstand, Snaefell Road and Governor's Hill on Saturday and Sunday
