Youth service pleased and proud of MBE recipient

The Island's Youth Service is congratulating one of its workers after she was recognised in the Queen's New Year Honours List.

Cathy Christian receives an MBE for services to youth in the Isle of Man.

The head of the youth service says Mrs Christian's MBE is well-deserved, as she acts as a friend and adviser to young people from the north of the Island.

She's been a youth worker on the Island since 1993, and has been part of the Ramsey Young People's Project since 1997.

The Youth service says it's pleased and proud that her work has been recognised.
