Road racer Keith Amor has retired from the sport following an injury sustained during last year's TT.

The 39 year old damaged his shoulder during two spills at last year's races, and further aggravated the injury in a crash at the Ulster Grand Prix.

Despite surgery to repair the joint, Amor says the damage is resisting repair, and that it's time to hang up his leathers.

The Scot raced on after sustaining the injury last year to finish second in the TT Championship behind Honda Legends team mate John McGuinness.

He says the decision to retire has been a difficult one, which he has agonised over for the last three months.
