Glenside staff to meet with Social Care bosses

Meetings regarding the closure of a Douglas care home are set to continue today.

The Department of Social Care will be meeting with the staff at Glenside Residential Home, following the announcement that the facility is to close in 2 years time.

The Social Care Minister says he can't guarantee there won't be job losses.

New units are due to open at Southlands and in the north of the Island before Glenside closes in 2014.

Meetings with the relatives of the residents of Glenside are due to take place over the coming weeks.
