Pillion passenger died from massive blunt force trauma

A pillion passenger who came off her bike during practice week died from massive blunt force trauma – particularly to the head.

The inquest into the death of Amanda Heather McNichol from York was opened and adjourned yesterday following her death on May 30th.

The 49 year old housekeeper was involved in a road traffic collision along with four other bikes on the Mountain Road.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her body has been released to her family but investigations into the incident are continuing.
