Over 1,800 expected for Parish Walk

It’s your last chance this evening to get checked in for tomorrow’s Parish Walk.

Those walking need to make sure they have registered at the Grandstand at the NSC in Douglas – which is open between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.

More than 1,800 people have signed up to take part in the 85 mile endurance event.

It looks like walkers should have a dry start to the day with intermittent showers moving in as the day progresses with strong south-westerly winds.

In an effort to ease congestion walkers are asked to hold off from having support cars for as long as possible.

Organiser Ray Cox said this is what causes the biggest headaches on the day:
