Kennaugh eyes Olympic gold

Mon, 30 Jul 2012

Hopes of a Manx gold medal at the Olympics haven't faded with Mark Cavendish's disappointment at the weekend.

Fellow Isle of Man cyclist Peter Kennaugh is in action in the men's team pursuit on Thursday.

The 23 year old up-and-coming star has spent this year focussing on track cycling in preparation for the Olympics.

The Great British pursuit team has already has success this year, winning gold at the World Championships in Melbourne and setting a new record in the process.

Peter's brother Tim Kennaugh thinks the pursuit team stands a better chance of victory than the GB road racers did: [play media file below]
