Douglas East by-election trial held up by legal argument

There’s been a delay to proceedings in the opening day of the Douglas East by-election fraud trial.

An ongoing legal argument is the reason for the hold up.

The defendants are charged with a number of offences dating back to the vote in May 2010.

It’s hoped the prosecution will be in a position to outline the case tomorrow.
