A £4.1 million project to redevelop Lower Pulrose has come in on time and on budget.

The Department of Social Care has handed over 36 new public sector properties to Douglas Borough Council in the final phase of the scheme.

Over 200 properties have been replaced and 28 first time buyer homes have been built.

A £17.6 million development to transform Upper Pulrose is also continuing with 124 new homes expected to be built by 2015.
