Safety advice ahead of Bonfire Night

Firefighters are urging the public to take care with fireworks ahead of Bonfire Night next week.

The explosives went on sale on Thursday around the Island.

The key message this year is to be safe, not sorry.

Over the last few years the number of incidents reported has reduced but police, firefighters and the Office of Fair Trading will be working to stamp out any antisocial or dangerous behaviour.

Firefighter Gary Hinds says it’s important to remember this general advice:
