The Public Accounts Committee will hear from two former Ministers of the Department of Tourism and Leisure next week.

They’ll be giving evidence as part of the Committee’s investigation of the contract between the former DTL and Signature Sponsorship Limited.

It was signed in 2005 in an effort to bring about improvements to the TT, at a time when it was said to be struggling.

Recently it has been revealed that the tender process that should have preceded the signing of the contract was ignored; with government subsequently handing over £1.6 million to the private firm.

The investigation has already heard from former Minister David Cretney and former chief executive Carol Glover.

Adrian Earnshaw and Martyn Quayle will give their evidence at 2.30pm on Monday, in the Legistlative Council Chamber.
