Sixth form students voice concerns over fee hikes

Thu, 06 Dec 2012

Next week’s sitting of Tynwald will see members vote on whether or not to implement the changes to the Student Award Regulations.

If the proposals gain the majority vote it will mean contributions to student fees will be introduced from 2014.

The base level will be £2,500 however this figure will rise in increments depending on the combined salary of the student’s parents.

A number of sixth form pupils set to be directly impacted by the measures have formed a campaign group to have their voices heard.
