Thu, 20 Dec 2012

Motorists are being asked to drive with extra care through Castletown today due to the bus strike.

It’s the first day of strike action which follows months of failed negotiations between the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure, drivers and Unite the union.

Up to 300 Pupils who attend secondary school in the south have been asked to get the steam train to and from school.

A special temporary platform has been erected on the bypass in an effort to make it easier for children to get to Castle Rushen.
