There’s a warning to people using a greenway track in the west of the Island after a crude trap made of wood and nails was discovered.

It appears item was deliberately left on a lane which runs between the Switchback at Lhergydoo and the Staarvey Road.

It’s not the first time this type of thing has been found on the track which is used by motorcyclists, horse riders and walkers.

Peel police ask anyone who knows who is responsible to contact them on 842208.

PC Ian Scott says the objects have the potential to cause serious damage or injury.
