Mortality rates and drugs and alcohol on HOK agenda

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Pensions, drugs in the prison and mortality rates are the hot topics in the House of Keys tomorrow.

Following a busy Tynwald sitting last week tomorrow’s House of Keys has somewhat of a lighter agenda.

There’s seven questions in total – four for oral answer and three for written.

Among them the Home Affairs Minister will be asked to reveal how many prisoners are in Jurby for drug and alcohol associated crimes and whether they have access to both substances while serving time.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran wants clarification on pensions and South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft will ask Health Minister David Anderson about MRSA and mortality rates at Noble’s Hospital.

The sitting will start at 10am.
