The Department of Infrastructure currently have a great number of resources and contractors deployed across the Island in an effort to open as many roads as possible.

Freezing overnight conditions has meant the substantial amounts of snowfall are not reducing as quickly as they could be.

Around all the worst hit areas the DOI have a number of loading shovels and excavators on road clearing duties, tractors and quad bikes are also being used to help clear the highways and footpaths.

Teams of people have also been out restocking salt bins.
