Onchan MHK unhappy with new look 'political map'

An Onchan MHK has spoken out against the electoral boundary reform that will see many of his constituents split into a new territory.

David Quirk feels the people of Howstrake Estate have been treated unfairly despite voicing their concerns in a public consultation.

He feels they have been annexed from Onchan and despite paying the same rates will no longer gain the same advantages.

Over 2,000 Onchan residents will now be part of the East constituency under the new proposals.
