Hundreds of military personnel expected for Armed Forces Day march

Next Sunday will see the annual parade of military servicemen and women past and present as the Island marks Armed Forces Day.

Taking part in the parade along the Douglas promenade will be a host of current serving personnel, and upto 200 veterans are expected also.

Brigadier Norman Butler has described the day as the perfect opportunity to pay your respects to those who put their lives on the line for the call of duty.

He’s urging as many people as possible to turn out and make their presence felt:
