Ayre Clay Target Club hosted the annual FITASC Sporting Manx Championship at Blue Point range on Sunday. The difficult discipline was made even harder by the frequent interruptions of squally showers.

25 shooters took part in the three testing 25 target layouts designed by Jake Keeling.

Keeling was the eventual winner with a score of 64 ex 75. Alan Kinrade was second on 58 with Kevin Oates third, scoring 57.

This week’s competition is the club all-round championship, consisting of 25 targets each of English Skeet, Down the Line, English Sporting and Olympic Trap. Entries close at 10.15am.
