MHKs attitudes unhelpful to economic recovery

A government minister has branded the attitudes of a number of backbench MHKs as unhelpful.

Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne says he despairs of a number of his colleagues whose negative comments are hindering the economic progression of the Island.

In this week’s House of Keys Michael MHK Alf Cannan voiced his opposition to plans for an on Island wind farm in Jurby.

Mr Gawne says more cohesion is needed as all members should be working to a shared goal of improving the economy:
