College anticipates higher course take up for 2014

The Isle of Man College of Further and Higher Education is expecting a higher than normal take up for its courses next year.

The introduction of mandatory tuition fees is seen a big factor in an upsurge in people opting to stay closer to home for their studies.

From 2014 the college will be offering BA Honour courses in event management and marketing  as well as art, design and media.

Manager of higher education Gail Corrin says although it can’t compete with the life experience of living off Island graduates are much better placed to find immediate employment:
