OFT warn of Christmas scams

Sat, 21 Dec 2013

The Office of Fair Trading says that the amount of recorded scams has spiked over the festive season.

The office says some people still fail to realise that dishonest attempts are being made at parting them from their money.

People should be suspicious of offers coming 'out of the blue', tight deadlines, being asked for credit card details and being offered a prize.
