Extra care needed as storms hit

Motorists are being urged to drive with care this morning due to the high winds.

The Island is currently being hit by severe gale and storm force winds which are expected to reach up to 80 miles per hour.

Trees have fallen in various places around the Island.

There is also debris on the roads as well as standing water.

Earlier this morning power supplies in Glen Vine and Braaid were down.

The Manx Electricity Authority has thanked people for their patience while engineers worked to fix this.
