Island to fare well in 2014 says Chief Minister

The Chief Minister says he is optimistic about how the Island will fare in 2014.

Allan Bell says despite continued economic pressures the Island has continued to perform well through this year - with low unemployment and numerous flourishing sectors.

However, it will be another year of austerity within government - with tight budgets and the prospect of job cut backs among the public sector.

Mr Bell says we should approach the New Year with cautious optimism:
