Civil Service Pay Rise will mean 'Job losses' says Chief Minister

Job losses and cutbacks will fund the pay rises for Civil Servants - not Treasury.

That’s the message from the Chief Minister who has commented on the spat between Unite the Union and the Chairman of the Civil Service, Alf Cannan MHK.

Unite's regional officer Eric Holmes says Mr Cannan has treated the Whitley Council workers unfairly by keeping their pay frozen while awarding Civil Servants a 2% rise.
