Long running bus driver dispute comes to an end

The long running dispute between bus drivers and the Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has concluded.

A tribunal has ruled that the drivers in the case were not unfairly dismissed.

This now means that the new look pay, terms and conditions will remain in place.

It will now be upto the driver’s union, Unite, as to whether or not it wants to appeal the ruling.

DCCL’s chief executive Colin Kniveton says he now wants public transport to take a step forward and leave this issue in the past:
